CYCLE 2 PROFESSIONAL LEARNING EVENT

As an accompaniment to the French plan triennal, we are thrilled to announce the first event designed to bring together English teachers from across the Mlf America network to build community and learn together around multilingual informed teaching and other relevant topics. LA COMMUNAUTÉ D'APPRENTISSAGE DU MOIS

Chaque mois de septembre à mai, Michel Develay, Professeur émérite de l’Université Louis Lumière Lyon 2, accompagnera la communauté. Comment développer, entre autres, l'esprit critique, la coopération, le respect de la diversité, la communication, l'autonomie dans vos classes ? Une approche holistique qui prend en compte les aspects cognitifs, socio-émotionnels et relationnels de l'apprentissage.

LES NOUVELLES DU RÉSEAU

TEACHER LED INTER-SCHOOL PROJECT Initiated by Megan Heck, third grade teacher at French Immersion School of Washington, students are connecting with peers across the Mlf America network and writing with purpose and motivation. The third grade pen pal project is an organic, teacher-designed collaboration with student learning at the heart. An example of the possibilities and potential of being a network of schools!

Teachers and students are participating from The French Immersion School of Washington, French American School of Rhode Island, Atlanta International School, French American International School of San Francisco, Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley, and L'ecole française du Maine.

MLF AMERICA SPECIAL EVENT

Join Will and Homa as they frame the huge design challenge that all schools have right now in terms of creating a path into the future that is more relevant, just, and sustainable for students and teachers.

They will lay out the new global contexts that are impacting our decisions right now, articulate the important questions we should be asking, and then offer practical steps for moving forward.

While the conversation will be directed at heads of school, ALL those interested are welcome to attend.
